About
My experience in various helping roles as a social worker and therapist has given me the opportunity to connect with people from all different backgrounds. I’ve worked with children and adolescents in the school setting, adults in treatment, and parents in community programs. My clinical work in groups and with individuals tends to be trauma-focused with a strengths-based lens. I also enjoy utilizing practices from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I think it is so important to establish a collaborative relationship that makes the client feel seen and heard. My overall goal as a therapist is to help my clients feel empowered and worthy to live their favorite life.

Why you are passionate about your job?
I think most social workers would answer this the same way -- I enjoy helping others. Taking care of our mental health is SO important and am happy to help people realize the same thing. And I really love that I get to experience such amazing things with this job, like people literally changing their lives for the better.
