Inpatient Treatment

We offer inpatient treatment for alcohol addiction. Offering programs for 7-28+ days, patients define their treatment goals with our clinical team which leverages evidence-based treatment protocols for alcoholism in a highly individualized environment.

Outpatient

Our Outpatient Substance abuse programs at allow clients to take control of their recovery while they live without interruption. With access to flexible scheduling and dedicated staff, our clients can maintain their normal daily routine while getting the treatment they need for sustained recovery

Intensive Outpatient

We offer several levels of Intensive Outpatient substance use treatment and provide a customized program for each client. Our custom-designed treatment plans include the treatment modalities a patient needs at an intensity level that best fits their specific rehabilitation goals.

teleTherapy

We offer telehealth services for both individual therapy and group therapy for our programs. Illness, transportation issues, and busy work schedules should not get in the way of prioritizing your recovery. We developed telehealth as a solution for busy adults who need to balance their recovery and personal life.

  I came here after a relapse in October. I spent 10 months not just in the IOP program, but also in their sober living homes. This place saved my life. The staff is pretty much all in recovery, so they understand what it’s really like to go through this. They will ALWAYS lend an ear and offer advice and support.

I have recently discharged and I feel amazing. During my time here I learned how to manage my cravings, I discovered the value in an honest life (not only with myself, but others as well), I learned who I am while I’m sober!! I’m a whole new Mallory than I used to be… I’m excited to see what 10 more months and even longer than that will bring. I can’t speak higher of this program.   I can’t say enough good things but the most important is Victory Bay saved my life.. Everyone I interacted with was wonderful and made me feel at ease.  The therapists and group session are wonderful and somehow the topics always seemed to be what I needed. About Alcohol Use & Alcoholism

When citing the drug, alcohol is a depressant and refers to ethanol, the main compound present in alcoholic beverages. Alcohol can be found in the form of liquor, beer, as well as wine and is one of the most widely used recreational drugs in the world.

In a 2014 poll by the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 176.5 million people surveyed (81%) said they had consumed alcohol in the past 12 months and also 44% reported binge drinking in the past month.

Symptoms

We understand that alcohol is generally commonplace in society and because of this, many people don’t recognize how dangerous it can be.

The effects of alcohol can be brought on swiftly or over the course of several hours, but once they’re felt, many become hooked.

Dangers & effects of long-term alcohol use

Long-term use of alcohol can have severe effects on the body – mainly the brain and liver – and can also lead to a need for an alcoholism treatment program.

Continued use can disrupt normal brain development and kill brain cells, reducing overall brain mass. It can also permanently damage the liver and can lead to cirrhosis of the organ.

Other dangers include:

Depression
Anxiety
Psychosis
Sleep disorders
Anemia
Chronic gastritis
Neurological impairment
Mouth, tracheal, and/or esophageal cancer

Withdrawal symptoms from long-term alcohol use

Alcohol use disorder can be mild, moderate, or severe, but when one becomes addicted to alcohol, his/her body becomes chemically dependent on it.

This means the need for it is more of a physical reliance than a personal choice. Once this happens, withdrawal symptoms can occur if the user stops consuming alcohol and the individual should seek an alcohol recovery center.

For example, symptoms include:

Headache
Nausea
Vomiting
Anxiety
Insomnia
Sweating
Shaking
In serious cases, hallucinations and/or seizures

What to Expect

Arrival to our facility

We will begin by coordinating your arrival to our facility. Victory Bay will work with you to ensure you are transported safely and quickly to our well-maintained facility. Once you have arrived at the center, you can expect to be greeted by our professional addiction treatment staff who will be expecting your arrival. If you are hungry – or maybe a little nervous – you can expect to receive a welcome meal, snack and a drink.

Intake

You will meet our Intake Coordinator, who will sit with you and begin the process by doing some basic assessments and paperwork. You will be scheduled to meet with your own personal Clinical Therapist with whom you will work with throughout your time here. Also, you will be scheduled to meet with one of our incredible Doctors to assess your specific needs.

Finally, with early sobriety, often comes lots of chaos in our lives. Our team will assess any and all areas of your life where you might need support and guidance. Our Case Management team will begin to plan a strategy for supporting you with any Legal, Employment, or Educational needs.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication Assisted Treatment, also known as MAT, uses specific prescription medications—to help our clients sustain their recovery. It works by reducing cravings, blocking the effects of opioids, or normalizing brain chemistry. When used during addiction treatment, MAT combined with counseling, behavioral therapy, and 12 steps modality helps individuals sustain long-term recovery.
